2022 DOMAINE DUREUIL-JANTHIAL Puligny-Montrachet "Corvée des Vignes"
Vincent Dureuil is widely celebrated as one of Burgundy’s most gifted winemakers, possessing a rare talent for crafting both white and red wines with equal mastery. While his home is in Rully, his plots in Puligny-Montrachet are treated with the same meticulous, organic care and artisanal precision. Jean-François Coche famously endorsed Dureuil-Janthial, stating that if he sees their name on a wine list, he always buys it. "Corvée des Vignes" is a unique 0.4-hectare parcel situated on the Meursault side of Puligny-Montrachet, just below the 1er Cru Les Referts. The old vines, planted between 1955 and 1958, thrive in clay-rich soils that yield a wine of deep ripeness and exceptional mineral definition. Following a philosophy of minimal intervention, Tino uses indigenous yeasts and follows the lunar cycle for bottling, ensuring that this 2022 expression is a pure liquid portrait of its prestigious terroir.
