Domaine A. & P. de Villaine, situated in Bouzeron, carries a unique pedigree as it was co-founded by Aubert de Villaine, the legendary co-owner and former director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Applying the same uncompromising standards of organic farming, low yields, and minimal intervention, the estate showcases the remarkable potential of the Côte Chalonnaise. "Les Clous Aimé" comes from a magnificent south-facing amphitheater with limestone-rich soils that favor the Chardonnay grape. The 2022 vintage yielded fruit of superb balance and maturity while preserving a vibrant, mineral core. Vinified in neutral oak casks and foudres to emphasize purity over oak influence, this cuvée offers a level of finesse, structural balance, and site transparency that easily rivals many village-level white Burgundies from the Côte de Beaune.
