2023 AURÉLIEN VERDET Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits / Bourgogne Rouge
Maison Aurélien Verdet, based in Arcenant in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, represents a powerful legacy of organic viticulture. Aurélien’s father, Alain Verdet, was a pioneer who began farming organically in the 1970s. Taking over the family estate in 2005, Aurélien expanded his holdings while maintaining an unyielding commitment to organic principles, natural fermentations, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge reflects Aurélien’s signature style: high-toned aromatics, vibrant red fruit, and intense limestone freshness. Sourced from pristine organically farmed vineyards in the Côte de Nuits region, the 2023 vintage offered fantastic fruit maturity paired with a racy, energetic profile. Vinified with native yeasts and aged gently in older French oak barrels, this cuvée offers a remarkably pure, lively, and terroir-expressive entry point into high-end red Burgundy.
