2023 PIERRE BOISSON Meursault
Domaine Pierre Boisson, formerly part of the legendary Boisson-Vadot estate, is widely considered one of the most exciting producers in Meursault today. Pierre and his sister Anne, who inherited their father Bernard’s meticulous standards, have gained a cult following for their chiseled, high-tension style that often draws comparisons to the iconic Domaine Coche-Dury. The 2023 vintage is described as an exceptional year for Meursault, yielding wines with a rare combination of structural density, aromatic purity, and vibrant energy. Following the family’s philosophy of minimal intervention, Pierre utilizes native yeasts and an unusually long élevage of up to 22 months in neutral oak with very little lees stirring. This patient approach ensures the 2023 Meursault is not just a expression of fruit, but a profound geological snapshot of its clay-limestone terroir, offering a level of refinement and age-worthiness that punches far above its village classification.
