Marthe Henry, based in Meursault, has quickly become one of the most exciting and sought-after rising talents in the Côte de Beaune. Granddaughter of the legendary Pierre Boillot, Marthe returned to her family roots after training in Beaune and working alongside forward-thinking vignerons, establishing her micro-négociant and domaine label with a focus on strict organic viticulture and non-interventionist cellar practices. Her Bourgogne Aligoté is sourced from old, low-yielding vines rooted in classic clay-limestone soils around Meursault and the surrounding plains. Vinified with wild native yeasts, aged on fine lees in seasoned oak barrels with zero sulfur added until bottling, this wine redefines what Burgundian Aligoté can achieve—delivering pristine floral aromatics, razor-sharp citrus drive, and a rich, textured mouthfeel that rivals many village-level white Burgundies.
