2023 MARTHE HENRY Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge
Marthe Henry, based in Meursault, is one of the most exciting artisanal vignerons working in the Côte de Beaune today. Dedicated to organic viticulture and hands-off cellar work, Marthe creates wines of striking aromatic purity, tension, and unmasked site character.
Sourced from high-elevation, limestone-rich parcels in the hills above Saint-Romain and Meursault, this Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge benefits from cooler microclimates that lock in vibrant natural acidity and bright red-fruit definition. Vinified with gentle extraction, partial whole-cluster inclusion, and wild native yeasts, the wine is raised in neutral French oak barrels without fining, filtration, or added sulfur until bottling. The result is a fine-boned, expressive Pinot Noir that delivers remarkable freshness, floral lift, and immediate charm.
