2023 MARTHE HENRY Pommard "Les Vignots"

Marthe Henry, based in Meursault, is one of the most exciting and dynamic artisanal producers in the Côte de Beaune. Applying an organic and low-intervention approach across both vineyard work and cellar practices, Marthe crafts Pinot Noirs that favor aromatic purity, texture, and transparent site character over heavy extraction. "Les Vignots" is a celebrated high-elevation lieu-dit located on the steep south-facing slopes of Pommard near the combe, characterized by shallow, stony limestone-clay soils. The cooler microclimate and rocky terrain lend this wine a distinctive balance of dark-fruited Pommard muscle and high-toned mineral freshness. Vinified with wild native yeasts, gentle extraction, and partial whole clusters, this cuvée delivers a refined, structural red Burgundy with exceptional depth and ageability.
