Domaine Sylvain Pataille, based in Chenôve, is one of the absolute reference points for organic and biodynamic winemaking in the northern Côte de Nuits. Sylvain Pataille—a trained oenologist and passionate advocate for the terroirs of Marsannay—is globally revered for his uncompromising commitment to high-density planting, natural fermentations, and minimal sulfur additions. His regional Bourgogne Rouge is sourced from organically farmed parcels planted on deep clay and limestone soils on the gentle slopes below Marsannay. The 2023 vintage offered ideal fruit maturity paired with incredible aromatic purity. Vinified with partial whole-cluster inclusion, indigenous yeasts, and aged in neutral French oak barrels, this cuvée punching far above its humble classification—delivering the texture, depth, and vibrant energy characteristic of Sylvain's master craftsmanship.
