2024 AURÉLIEN VERDET Vosne-Romanée "Vieilles Vignes"
Maison Aurélien Verdet, based in Arcenant, continues a distinguished family tradition of organic viticulture pioneered by Aurélien's father, Alain Verdet, in the early 1970s. Aurélien maintains a steadfast, low-intervention philosophy across all his cuvées, utilizing natural fermentations, minimal extraction, and judicious sulfur use to capture the pristine essence of each terroir. Sourced from old-vine parcels in prized village lieu-dits (including La Colombière, Les Ormes, and Jacquines), this Vosne-Romanée delivers the signature aromatic nobility and velvety texture that have made the appellation world-famous. The 2024 vintage showcases Aurélien’s refined, hands-off approach—incorporating native yeast fermentation and gentle oak aging—to yield a red Burgundy of extraordinary spice, floral lift, and deep red fruit concentration.
