2024 MARTHE HENRY "Topette" Pinot Noir
Marthe Henry, based in Meursault, is one of the most exciting low-intervention vignerons in the Côte de Beaune today. Dedicated to organic viticulture and hands-off cellar craftsmanship, Marthe creates wines of remarkable aromatic clarity, energy, and unmasked fruit purity.
"Topette" (a traditional Burgundian slang term for a small bottle or flask of wine shared among friends) is Marthe's vibrant, glou-glou style cuvée. Crafted from organically farmed Pinot Noir plots vinified with whole clusters, indigenous yeasts, and zero added sulfur until bottling, this wine emphasizes juicy red-fruit drinkability, floral lift, and refreshing lightness of touch without sacrificing genuine Burgundian terroir character.
